The occasion was very grand and the settings and food were impressive. The only drawback and the saddest point was when we had to perform our prayers at the hotel's surau. Despite the grandieur of the hotel, the surau was pathetic. It had the most basic facilities and even those were old and worn out. Being a Muslim in a Muslim country, it saddens me that the hotel management did not bother in upgrading the rooms in line with the rest of the building. The rooms were not to be proud of and definitely not a "talking" or profitable feature of the hotel.

Firstly, the waiteress spilled red wine over me and my friend and only handed us some serviettes! I asked for a wet towel but that did not turn up till almost after 40 mins. The waitress informed her supervisor who was equally blur and handed me some dry napkins and a bath towel! As it was a wedding I did not want to make a big fuss over it. Next the manager came and asked us to go outside. He mentioned he has febreeze to treat our clothes. He made us stand outside of the ballroom in one corner and started to spray febreeze on my skirt. My god if not for the wedding I would have turned the staff upside down. They didn't even bother to offer to laundry my clothes for me! I would have thought the very least to offer. I decided to go back to my seat and continue to enjoy the wedding party. Again I saw the same waitress serving our table. It really spoilt my night! I would have expected better trained staff to be on duty with responsible supervisors overseeing their services.

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4245694/all Apr 2017 I have attended a family's friend wedding there. The venue is a rectangular hall that spans deep into the hotel with a mezzanine floor. It is an interesting concept as you have two floors. What the couple did was allocated the younger guests upstairs (they drank and had fun without being watched by parents). Parents or friends of the parents of the newlyweds were all on the ground level where everything was more proper and less exciting. I would say it is a good intimate place for a wedding if you don't have much stage related programme lined up that requires guest's attention as the ones upstairs are just going to have blocked view to the stage. Cheap parking! as you can park in the Gardens but if it is on a weekend better check if mid valley convention centre is having anything on during that weekend to avoid the convention centres crowd (exhibitors and guests). My advice is to avoid baby fairs, travel related fairs. Weekends in Mid Valley. parking is a night mare.

The servers are very conscientious about changing your plates after every course. Steamed Mandarin Fish “Unicorn” Style is totally de-boned and filleted. It is very easy to eat, and the fish ball inside makes it taste artificially good with lots of MSG! Chilled ‘Ming’ Prawns with Mayo & Stir-fried Prawn Balls with Butter Cream is the best dish that we had the entire night! There’s huge prawns done two ways, and they’re all de-shelled and de-veined. One is cooked in a sweet and wet butter/mayo sauce and the other is deep fried in butter. It’s very creamy and I love the huge, juicy prawns. The Chilled Mixed Fruits with Avocado Cream is the highlight of the dish and it was what we had saved up space for. It has a wonderfully rich mouthfeel and a nutty flavor that’s very morish. Delectable!

The Royale Ballroom Subang by Grand Imperial Group is as its name suggests "Royale", grand design with up to date ballroom facilities (i.e ambient lightings, LED backdrop, private floor, etc). Strategic location adjacent to Sunway Pyramid, there is proper, covered parking for guests.

Feedback from wedding guests was that the food was very tasty - especially the iberico pork ribs. Professional banquet managers Danny Chin and Nicholas were really helpful, the communication was great.

This Taiwanese bridal shop targets Malaysian couples, mostly on bridal fairs, who wish to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and photo spots in Taiwan, different from what we have here. And they are located at non other than SS2- of course. The bridal package provides the usual gown/suit, makeup, photography, limited copies of photos, on top of that; accommodation (minsu/ homestay), meals, pickup service as the bridal shop in Taiwan is located in Pingtung, a small little town which is 1 hour+ drive away from Kaohsiung. Air Asia flights go to Kaohsiung directly or you can have a stop-over in Taipei, via Taoyuan Airport, stay one night then take the high speed rail from Taipei Main Station to Kaohsiung (Xin Zuoying Station) in 1hr 34min (360km).

He then assured me there is no such section in Taiwan and i can choose ALL bridal gowns in their bridal shop in Taiwan. According to them, New York Vogue (taiwan) bought over De Paris and now renamed to New York Vogue, and they shifted their office from Loke Yew to SS2. One mistake I made was we never asked where is their office located in Taiwan and assume it will be in Taipei. However, only when I tried to plan my trip then I realised their bridal house in Taiwan is in PingTung, a small little town located 1 hour + drive away from Kaohsiung. I would say my experience in Kaohsiung considered quite good. My flight last minute delayed and I could only reach at midnight instead of 8pm as I informed them (they provide return airport transfer from Kaohsiung airport). Despite such odd hour, they are willing to wait till midnight and pick us up from the airport, and send us to the Min Su (home stay) provided by them, which is near Ping Tung town. Next day was my gown fitting/choosing day. They picked us up almost noon to their bridal shop. I would say they are quite patient already, as according to my fiance, I was quite picky especially when it comes to the white bridal gown. We were there for almost 6 hours, including waiting for them to alter the gowns on the spot and try it on again. They bought us bento set as "lunch" as we told them we didn't had lunch before we came, but we only get to eat while waiting for them to alter the gowns around late afternoon. The only set back is that the photographer that I chose was on leave on my gown fitting day and thus the make up artist was the one had a pre-discussion on the type of photos and venue that we prefer.

There were very few Taiwanese companies at the expo and to be honest. In the end, we chose New York Vogue (NY 1999) based in Pingtung, Taiwan.  Before we signed, I quickly checked online for reviews but only managed to find one or two.  As the price was much less than what we had budgeted for, we decided to take it and hope for the best. There were several email exchanges between me and the service rep to confirm the itinerary, photo shoot location and other general questions I had.  They usually respond in less than 3 days. We arrived Taoyuan Airport on 9th May via Air Asia from KK and took a bus to Taichung. NY Vogue had suggested we stop over in Taichung for one night to visit Feng Chia night market before going to Kaohsiung the following day. We left Taichung via the High Speed Rail to Kaohsiung Zuoying and only had to wait for a few minutes before Peter picked us up at the agreed location.  We followed Peter to Kaohsiung city to pick up a couple from Macau who were going to take photos on the same day as us before going to Pingtung. Peter took us to Xing Guang Da Dao to drop our bags before taking us to NY Vogue.  Upon reaching the company, we were assisted by Ming Yuan. Choosing the five gowns were a breeze as well.  They have an extensive selection of gowns.  I fell in love with the grey dress at the first sight.  Choosing the blue gown was easy as well.  The red gown was recommended by Ming Yuan.  I was delighted to know they had the long-sleeved lacy white gown.  I told Ming Yuan I'd love to wear a white dress with lace and sleeves and she was able to find that for me.  Slight alterations to the dresses were required so they would fit me nicely.  They took my measurements and altered the dresses on the spot!  I am not used to this level of efficiency and was very impressed :) My hair and make-up took more than two hours but I must compliment Ni Ni for her mad skills!  I have never felt so comfortable in falsies.  Mr L does not usually like me in make-up but even he thought Ni Ni did a great job and according to him, he has never seen me look this good in make-up. After meeting photographer 林sir briefly, we started taking photos within NY Vogue's premises. Before long, we were on our way to Chiayi (slightly less than 2 hours' drive away).  After a quick lunch break (beef noodles yum!), we got to work right away. The entire session felt really smooth and was not as tiring as I had imagined.  林sir made us feel very comfortable and gave us very clear instructions.  The lighting assistant 阿清 (A- Qing) was very helpful and attentive throughout.  We were so relieved to see how the photos had turned out- they were so much better than we had expected and ended up buying 20 additional photos.

• Use a software (such as Snapheal) to erase the stool and you will create the impression that your model is floating in the air.

With huge extensive crystal chandeliers, modern zebra print carpet and setting, and a capacity of 1300 pax for banqueting the Pullman Bangsar Grand Ballroom is an excellent venue for a big grand wedding reception. Pullman KL Bangsar is a lovely and modern hotel that provides good service. The hotel however it is not centrally located but is great for those who want to be out from the hustle and bustle of the city. No problem getting taxis from the hotel.

The Pullman brand does not disappoint, this is true for both the Pullman KL City and KL Bangsar, in terms of meeting their clients wedding preparation needs. Ms Samme Pan, the Event Manager and her banquet team are excellent in helping the couple and family plan and coordinate the hotel logistics for the wedding. Great food served during wedding reception. Courteous hotel staff.

Oversea is a well established brand in Malaysia F&B scene for Chinese cuisine. The Subang Parade outlet particularly is famous for wedding banquets. They have the experience and basic amenities in organizing medium sized wedding receptions. This is a good option if you are looking for quality food at an attractive price and good parking access/ availability at the shopping mall. Their staffs are friendly and efficient. However some part-timers have not been trained very well. The design of the banquet hall is of long rectangular shape, the guests at the back may not be able to view what is happening in front at the stage clearly.

To be improved are the equipment such as the projector screens, and time management. Dishes served should be paced out at the right intervals to ensure comfortable dining of the guests.

I've been told Paris is the most romantic city in the world. Then again I remember my ex-boss telling me he found nothing "romantic" about Paris... it is simply a bustling city full of people. A girl would wonder if love is flying all over the air of Paris? This city is obviously a popular location for pre-wedding photoshoot. I have not been to Paris but would love to experience it for myself one day its romance and visit beautiful places like these:

La Tour Eiffel (Eiffel Tower)

Inaugurated in 1889 for the Universal Exposition, the Eiffel Tower (La Tour Eiffel in French) was the tallest structure in the world then until the completion of the Chrysler Building in 1930. The man behind the Eiffel Tower was engineer Gustave Eiffel. Constructed with a mass of wrought iron, the lattice tower rises 300 meters tall (984 feet), is now an iconic tourist destination in Paris. There is a viewing area up the tower for you to enjoy the spectacular views of Paris. The pre-wed crew can embrace the impressive structure at night in a different way with the lighted tower. It is located at Champ de Mars (a large public greenspace) 7e arrondissement, next to the Seine River.

Musée du Louvre (the Louvre Museum)

Originally a royal palace, the Louvre became a public museum in 1793 with an exhibition of 537 painting. There are about 35,000 objects on display now, spread out over three wings of the former palace. The museum has a diverse collection mostly of European paintings and sculptures. It also contains Roman, Egyptian, Greek and Oriental art, clocks, furniture, china and tapestries. Some of the most famous works of art in the museum are the Venus of Milo, the Nike of Samothrake, the Dying Slave by Michelangelo and the most popular of them all; Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

There are three entrances, the main entrance at the glass pyramid, second entrance from the Carrousel du Louvre underground shopping mall and another entrance at the Porte des Lions. The Louvre Pyramid was built by American architect I.M. Pei in 1989. The Louvre museum lies in the heart of Paris on the Right Bank, the place is known as the 1st arrondissement adjacent to the Tuileries Gardens. Love Lock Bridge, Paris, France.
Tourists attach love locks with their names written on them to the railing of this pedestrian bridge, then throw the key into the Seine river, as a romantic gesture. Now this practice is discouraged as the bridge can no longer withstand the weight of the locks. Selfies and photoshoots are welcome!

Notre Dame Cathedral

Notre Dame de Paris (Our Lady of Paris in French), also known as Notre Dame Cathedral is an impressive medieval architecture marvel. This cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Paris has a gothic exterior which is full of intricate details, two broad towers and many sweeping arches. The ornate interior is light and airy, with beautiful sculptures and stained glass. Construction started in 1163 and completed in 1330. You are able to capture a better view of the architecture in photos from the Square Jean XXIII Park behind the cathedral.

Other attractions and photography spots

The French Open Tennis Tournament is one of four tournaments called the "Grand Slams" and is played by the best tennis players in the world. It is held in the Roland Garros Stadium Paris. The matches are played on clay.

Sacre-Coeur Paris - The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris Catholic Church is a popular landmark which is located at the summit of the butte Montmartre, the highest point of Paris.

Arc de Triumph is one of the most famous monuments in Paris - to honour those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars.

Brasseries are restaurants that serve alcoholic beverages, as well as food. A boulevard full of brasseries and European style shops would create a different mood to your pre-wed images.

This restaurant is loved by all for its delicious food particularly the barbecue pork (char siew). The Oversea Imbi is a famous restaurant for treating guests from other countries/ states, located at a very busy spot at Jalan Imbi, KL, hence parking could be a problem. Here you can still see the self appointed "parking attendants" collecting money from car owners.

While it is a popular Oversea restaurant outlet, nothing much has been mentioned about its wedding services. There are some pillars in the banquet hall.

The food there seems to be better than the rest. Famously known for their Barbeque Pork which has just the right ratio of lean meat to fat.
