Crystal Crown Hotel Harbour View, Port Klang

Crystal Crown Hotel Harbour View, Port Klang is situated in the Central Region of Malaysia, a short drive to the Royal Township of Klang and about 3km from Westport in Port Klang. It takes 50 minutes by car from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and 35 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. Comfortable wedding hall, and tasty food. Parking may not be sufficient in the hotel itself but there are many parking lots available around the hotel. Inconsistent service.

Attended relative wedding dinner. The hall very comfortable and foods really good taste. Im loving it. Humbly request to follow up on your toilet cleaness always. Request more street light around outdoor parking area to avoid any circumstance in future. And the receptionist staff, it's would nice if you smile to us even we just attend the dinner and not your regular customers.

Set in the heart of the Golden Triangle of Petaling Jaya, The 5-star Royale Chulan Damansara is a 15-minute drive from downtown Kuala Lumpur and has easy access to various key places of interest in Petaling Jaya.

The Royale Ballroom features an exclusive skylight ceiling. Mutiara Ballroom is located at the balcony on Level 1. The hotel's ambiance is very pleasant and the wedding banquet Chinese food is good. Some banquet staffs need more training. Projector screens are too high up for the guests to view properly.

Hotel has a pleasant ambience, the Chinese food for the wedding banquet was surprisingly good!
https://www.tripadvisor.com.my/ShowUserReviews-g29831
Dec 2015
I just got back from a chinese wedding banquet and felt the need to highlight certain things that have marred my experience throughout the night.
1. Waitress was poorly trained, didn't know how to scoop the soup properly and served the soup to me with 1 finger dipped into the soup.
2. Waitress lacked common courtesy, we saved some food for friends who were helping with the wedding flow and wasn't able to eat yet. The waitress came and scoop up the plate full of untouched food without asking any of us. The moment any of us noticed, the plate of perfectly fine food is gone.
3. Food quality for some of the courses are poor - the chicken dish looked like some pop corn chicken breast which was fried and then drenched with some plum sauce. Lacked the finesse of a 4 and half star hotel chef's product.
4. Projector was way high up in the sky, and screens were small. My friend did a presentation of old photos, and I could barely read the words or see the faces of people in group photos.

Infrared, or “IR” photography, offers photographers the abilities to explore the world of the unseen. Our eyes cannot see IR light, as it is beyond what is classified as the “visible” spectrum which human eyesight can detect. When we take photographs using infrared-equipped film or cameras, we are exposed to the world that can look very different from that we are accustomed to seeing.

Reflected IR light produces an array of fascinating and unique effects; vegetation appears whiter. Skin takes on a very milky, smooth texture. Black clothing can appear gray or white depending on the fabric. Blue skies become more dramatic.

Pre-Wedding photos by Redfeel Bridal Studio. Now you can have winter scenery in Malaysia, kinda reminds me of The Chronicles of Narnia.

You can spot the high contrast, or “crispness” in the photos, rarely seen in normal photography, which is useful for capturing landscapes.

STUNNING! if you are looking for a special wedding photography style that emphasizes on visual effect with creative details and movement that is so catchy enough to impress whoever that is seeing it, then Redfeel could be your right choice. We went to their boutique in SS2 and stumbled upon their trademark home style photography -  infrared wedding photography, we were really amazed by the colors and texture that fantasized the whole concept in the images. Absolutely Beautiful.

Redfeel wedding is relatively new (around 3 years) in the bridal industry. They offer slightly lower range price for wedding photo shoots and specialised in special effect known as the infrared wedding photography. When I was considering a bridal shop to have my pre-wedding pictures taken, I went to see their consultant (didn't expect he was the co-owner named Will).
It is highly recommended to make an appointment so that you are able to speak to him directly and perhaps negotiate or understand their price, services and packages offered. After spending around an hour plus, talking about the packages and looking at the gowns, my partner and I went back to deliberately point out what we like and disliked. Overall, we don't fancy the infrared photography therefore, we didn't go for this.
There are plenty of wedding gowns for you to choose and if you prefer fancy dresses, you have found the right place!!!

Positive Remarks: Good feedback from guest on the dishes. Food is delicious! especially the seafood soup and steamed fish. Beautiful decorations. Excellent wait staff that are courteous and professional. They were really friendly and made sure dinner is served well and delightfully. Wedding was well organized.

To be improved: In-house PA system and projectors can be further improved - screens not centrally connected, poor acoustics for tables far from the stage. The back tables are not ideally located to have a good view of the stage.

Nice Chinese wedding dinner spot. Excellent wait staff that are courteous and professional. Food was wonderful, especially the seafood soup (opted for no shark fin) and first course (see picture). The steamed snapper was excellent as well as the fish's natural flavor was allowed to shine instead of a flash condiment. Overall, I hope more of my friends have weddings here so I can eat the food again!

Wedding Reception at 3-Storey Sin Choi Wah Restaurant (翠华楼)

$

I have gotten a few email requests for a research review of Sin Choi Wah restaurant inBandar Menjalara Kepong.

Positive Remarks: Be impressed by the restaurant's 3-storey big structure. There are ballrooms and halls of different sizes suitable for private weddings. Plenty of parking space but will not be enough if you go late, so you may be directed to park at Tesco (free), which is just opposite the restaurant.

It has quite a reputation for its good food in big serving with great price. Clients and guests were mostly very pleased with the quality of food. Banquet dishes are well presented and taste fresh. Upscale Chinese Restaurant, banquet hall with comfortable environment and ambiance. The management allows you to decorate the hall however you wish. You can expect good quality sound system, if you plan to have a live band play on your wedding day. They have live band quality sound system, so they say.

To be improved:  More than one weddings can be held at the spacious location. Guests could get lost there. Arranging proper signage to provide direction would definitely help the guests locate the wedding reception they are attending. The restaurant does not put the groom and bride's names up the backdrop of the stage. Some complained about the service rendered by the PIC, hit and miss.

Tips: This restaurant is always fully booked, so remember to reserve in advance for your wedding. Tips from momentspix, try to get the upstairs ballroom for a better environment.

Upscale chinese restaurant. Well known for wedding dinner as it can cater for big crowd. There are banquet hall for common seating  and rooms for private function. Comfortable environment with well presented banquet dinning which is the like for most of wedding and formal functions. Parkings are available from within and nearby vicinity.

Visited the restaurant for a wedding dinner. A bit run down and has definitely seen better time. The place seems to cater for wedding dinner perhaps due to its location as you don't have many comparable restaurant in Kepong to match. The food is so so. Nothing to shout about. Will i go again? Not if i have a better choice

This is a very popular restaurant to host wedding functions as it is custom built to handle small and large banquets. The restaurant is also tastefully furnished and parking is easily available as it is located next to Tesco (free parking). The food is delicious and the food serving is generous.

The ambiance is marvellous. It gives you a very happy and comfortable feeling. I've been there 5 times for mostly private wedding events. I must say they serve extremely good food not to mention their efficient service. Good food comes with great price.

Sin Choi Wah Restaurantis the main for for my family to run family wedding of the all time ever since they are opened, the reason we prefer taking this place is because they have multiple types of hall rooms, we always pick here is also because their food is quite okay. not to say their food is super yummy but reasonable and editable :)
I super in love with their hall because you basically can do everything with the hall and there is no limitation for you do decorate their hall unless don't break anything or switch the main stage to another stage or something will do :) their restaurant are always packed with booking so if you are really looking for a place to run for a wedding dinner you have to book yearly earlier.

The ambience is very sophisticated dining experience. In fact, there were 3 wedding lunches today. The sound system is also quite good here. Some of the dishes taste fantastic. The scallop with celery was so tasty. The steamed sea grouper with soy sauce is just so-so. The flesh is too hard. The winner - the braised mix vegetables. The gravy is very thick and tasty.

The selling point ok Korea Artiz Studio (KAZ) is the mood of the photos, Korean concept photography style, makeup and hair. However the packages are not exactly cheap. If you have the budget for it, you will be very happy with the results as there is a team of people specializing in different areas to help you create your most memorable wedding photos.

Customers complimented their Consultant - Evon who meticulously arranges all the appointments and keeps the clients updated when the dates are near. Helpful assistants Carmen and Ah Hao, Jasmine & Nicole - experienced gown consultants. Tze Pei's makeup is simple but clean and nice. Jina creates gorgeous Korean makeup and hair. Photographer Song is skillful in capturing the best moments. PG Youn produces excellent photos. Alan the photo album designer who is talented and very accommodating to the clients requests. (Reviews here)

To be improved: Their pictures look nice, but they should supply a bigger selection of gowns and have a proper gown tracking system.

First of all, a very big thanks to Debbie for her professionalism in handling customers' needs, everything goes so smooth throughout the whole photo shooting session. Next, we would like to thanks to Evon for being such responsible and responsive in arranging all the appointments from beginning until the end. She was very alert with the dates of all the arrangements and kept us updates when the dates are near. Next, we would like to thanks Jasmine, our gown consultant who provides me her professional opinions when I can't make up my mind on which to choose. Then, I would like to thank Tze Pei, my make up artist for turning me into a princess for the pre-wedding photo shoot session. I love her make up skills, simple but clean and nice. We would also like to thank Song for being such a great photographer in capturing our best moments throughout the photo shooting session. Not forget to thank Carmen and Ah Hao for all your efforts to make sure we were always in our best conditions and positions throughout the whole photo shooting session. Furthermore, we would also like to thank Alan, our photo album designer for being so skillfull in turning our photos to become so beautiful and nice in the photo albums. The selling point to me with Korea Artiz was the Korean feel of their photos.
Our experience was actually pleasant. The service was good even after we signed up. Also, we are out –of- towners and don’t mind that there wouldn’t be any outdoor shooting. The gowns were nice, too. My wife was even lucky enough to fit into the Vera Wang gown that they have so that’s what she ended up wearing.

I spent RM6K for my package but I did not get the results I expected. I think for the same price or even lower I could have hired a high end photographer who is among Asia’s best.

Celebrate your big day on a romantic island with mystical mangroves, pure rainforest air, and ancient rock formations at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. You can make the most of the resort's mile-long Private Beach amidst the magical UNESCO GeoPark where its biodiversity in various habitats including mangroves, tidal flats, beaches, estuaries, coral reefs, caves, limestone is protected.

The huge resort has a nice private beach and great view, with a long clean beach-line. Its villas are really big and interior is nice and well designed. Service is excellent. Well organised wedding and the event planner did a splendid job. The food was tantalizing and delicious. Very relaxing environment.

May 2015
After staying at FS Langkawi once, and another occasion to confirm we wanted to host our wedding ceremony there, we held our wedding there on January 2015 with the help of Nora, who was our wedding coordinator at the resort. I have to say, everything went smoothly and was exceptional. We wanted a quiet, intimate wedding yet luxurious as well. All our guests were really impressed by the rooms, the resort itself, the food and service. I think most importantly of all, the staff there from managers to errand staff really went above and beyond to make me feel special by acknowledging that I was the bride and making sure my special day went perfectly. Some small things could be changed, such as the TV and channels available but those are minor when you look at the resort as a whole. We also stayed at Four Seasons Lanai in Hawaii for our honeymoon and their TV (and channels) were THE BEST we've ever come across. Maybe FS Langkawi can incorporate the same :) One negative thing to mention is that on our wedding night, my husband woke up several times bitten by mosquitoes and the bites were really huge and itchy so even though that was not the resort's fault, maybe they need to put some anti-mosquito stuff in the room, but strangely I was fine. I was not bitten once. FS does not disappoint and my husband and I will definitely be coming back.

Took our pre-wedding photos at the end of last month with Very Taipei Kuching, just want to say thank you to Ah Yien and the crew, they were fantastic to work with, we did tell them on what kind of concept that we want for our photos, and they managed to kill it! Photos were great and i am impressed with the MUA as her make up is very natural and flawless, pictures taken are very natural and not the "posey posey" type which is not to my liking, service was very good and it was worth for the price and there is no hidden charges for my gowns and the accessories and etc. A big thank you to Ah Yien and her team, keep up the good work. We felt comfortable during the whole photo shoot, the assistant although she is young, but she is capable and very initiative to help us throughout the whole process.

I can only say that the workers from VeryTaipei Taiwan are very professional. When we went to VeryTaipei Taiwan to try the bridal gown, manager Carol served us well with professional ideas. The most important part is during the day we took our photo, the makeup artist, Eva, was so professional and took really good care of me. And the assistant, Yan Sheng, took very good care of my husband. Last but not least, our photographer, Huang Yu Chen, is extremely professional. Each and every part of our posture, emotion even our eyesight direction, he also guided us patiently with humour, gave us a joyful time to take our photos without any stress. We appreciated their professionalism with our sincere and very excited to see our photo albums.

Connected to KL Sentral transportation hub; Railway (LRT & Komuter, linked to MRT), bus and Nu Sentral Shopping Mall, Hilton Kuala Lumpur is located in a very strategic area, perfect for traveling to the airport and KL city. Wedding guests were impressed with the good service, lovely table setting with fresh flowers, decorations and the fine dining experience. Dainty appetizer, delicious food and dessert. They know how to create a memorable wedding party. The after party is good too.

Negative comments:  Couple was told on the wedding day the wine they had chosen more than a month ago was not available. The hotel informed the couple that the guests could adjourn to Zeta Bar for after-party. However the bar was not open on that night. Perhaps they have to be more attentive to details and manage disappointments considering the expectations from the customers.

We attended a wedding reception lunch at the hotel last Saturday. I was impressed with the good service, lovely table setting with fresh flowers, deco and the fine dining experience. The appetiser was dainty, loved the soup, mullet was done well but I was so looking forward to parsnip, it came hidden underneath my mullet. Enjoyed my mango, raspberry sherbert and yum cheesecake. We ran out of wine too soon at lunch. All said and done it was a wedding party to remember. Loved the after lunch partying too, DJ do something about your music!

Nov 2014
We recently held our wedding reception at KL hilton, grand ballroom. On the day of our wedding, at 3pm, the hotel staff told us that the wine we had chosen more than a month ago was not available. We were given 1(ONE) option to choose from, which tasted totally different from what we had chosen originally. After talking to the director of F&B, she offered us an alternative which was much better. She was also very apologetic and helpful but refused to share with as to why our original wine was unavailable.
At the dinner reception around 7.30pm, I was informed that there was an issue with the sound system in the ballroom. When I arrived there, I realized the problem was that the hotel did not have a cable to hook up the sound system that my 3rd party vendor had supplied. Hilton KL was informed of the vendor a week in advance. So why was this cable not available? When i arrived at the ballroom and demanded that they get the cable and sort out the problem, the cable miraculously appeared after 15 mins. Is it necessary to trouble the groom with such petty issues on his wedding day?!?
During our planning stage, we were informed that the ballroom was available till 1am on that night and that we could adjourn to Zeta Bar, just one floor below the ballroom. After inviting all my partying guests to the after party, we were informed, on the night itself that zeta bar was not open as it was a sunday. Why was this not made known to us and instead we were given the information that it was open! Does your staff not even know the opening hours/DAYS of your in-house facilities?
There were a myriad number of smaller issues but the main things that i've brought up here, I've also made known to my point of contact with KL Hilton during the debrief after the wedding. The response that I've gotten from him is ridiculous. Instead of just apologizing, he has come up with excuses and absolved themselves;
stating that we did not make a booking at zeta bar, else they would have told us it was closed;
that they had provided 2 options of wine for us to choose from, when they actually only provided only 1(ONE) choice;
that the sound system was working fine even though it wasn't hooked up to the 3rd party sound system; why would I not want the system hooked up to my supplier's when i've already paid for it?
Having attended several weddings at the KL Hilton in the past, we had the impression that KL Hilton was beautiful and that the staff were professional and efficient, we decided to celebrate our union there despite having to spend a six-figures, but with this level of service, it is definitely not worth your money. I've initially refrained from making this issue public but after the response from your hotel staff, I find it absolutely disappointing and couples who are planning their weddings in the future should know of the traps.

This property has always been a lovely one and the top hotel in Kuala Lumpur for some time now. We had our wedding here and many of our guests (including ourselves) who stayed here loved the hotel. The ballrooms and function rooms were great for hosting our wedding and the food served at all of our wedding events were top notch. We even enjoyed the leftovers (so very tasty at 3am!) from our wedding dinner that we didn't have time to enjoy but which they very kindly packed for us and left in our room in a food warmer.
We were very well looked after and enjoyed the many room service meals we had being so tired from all the wedding activities in and around the hotel. The Lifestyle suite we were given was just fantastic - so very well designed and modern and very spacious for all of the visitors we had throughout our stay. The strength of this property is in the design of their rooms and the way in which they have maintained these over the years. Still top quality and every inch a 5 star standard.
The hotel is also located above a large transportation hub (KL Sentral) and is perfect for travel to central KL and also the airport. The hotel could not be in a better location.
This hotel is equally great for business and pleasure (something not all hotels do well) and we couldn't have asked for more for our wedding - this hotel and location will always remain very special to us.

The Imperial Ballroom has a fabulous ambiance, very grand perfect for your modern and elegant wedding. The junior ballrooms are well renovated as well but the ceiling is lower and may not appear as magnificent. The hotel staffs are trained to fulfill the customer's requests during their wedding. Sales Representative Nurul was helpful and professional. Wedding coordinator Lynn was very accommodating with clients requests even last minute changes and would make sure that things are executed herself.

There is a large area for pre-function session. Plenty of parking, the hotel is connected to One Utama Shopping Centre. Flat parking rate: RM5 (stamped). Delighted with the Food and service. They have waiters taking care of each table, the facilities and sound system are good.

This review is focused on One World as our wedding venue. From the start to end, Lynn (our wedding coordinator from One World) was extremely professional and helpful from the biggest to the smallest of details. She was very accommodating with all our last minute changes and would make sure that things are executed herself. I saw the hotel prepare for the wedding with their service staff going through several rounds of rehearsals prior to the night's dinner. We thank One World for also providing us with a suite the night of the wedding with many small details (like notes, flower petals, chocolates) to make the stay such an enjoyable one. Even my other family members who stayed at the hotel for the wedding had great things to say. Highly recommended for those considering the hotel as a wedding venue.

Last Week on 31st January 2016 I was one of the Action Committee responsible for ensuring the 1,000 guests VIP Wedding celebrations went out successfully, One world Hotel Ballroom was chosen because the bride parents has patronise and experience there before. We have our meetings before with the Sales Representative Nurul she was very helpful and professional throughout the whole events from the starts and the Banquet Team led by Mr Khairil was always there to help, the Ballroom was decorated by Wedding Planner what I am delighted was the Food served was excellent and service they have waiters caring about each table, their facilities and sound system was good, their have large areas for pre-drink . Car Park because of joint with One Utama Shopping centre sufficient enough and for guest attending the wedding you pay a flat rate of RM 5.00, please have your ticket stamped first. Their guest toilet cleaned all the time. I could rate their Banquet is one of the Best I have patronise.

Fort Canning Park is a quiet and shady park on an iconic hilltop right in the middle of the city of Singapore. Some of the interesting spots for photography are the Fort Gate- remnant of  a fortress built in the 19th century, tombs of the 19th century (Singapore's first Christian Cemetery), there is a Spice Garden, the ASEAN Sculpture Garden, Battle Box- a former underground military complex that was used in World War II, spiral staircase with an opening on top at the underground crossing, outdoor lawns, lots of greenery, Cannon, lighthouse, boutique Hotel Fort Canning. Some part of the park provides a good view of the city and surrounding. The well maintained garden adds to the charm of the park which takes one through the history of Singapore. Parking will be a problem if there are events at Fort Canning.

Singaporean brides often compare the quality of services, photography skills, wedding gowns and products provided by the bridal studios in JB with those in their home country. The favorable aspect is the more attractive price with good quality but the disadvantage is the hassle of traveling to and fro Johor Bahru.

Dawn's Wedding has been a popular choice. The feedback about their service has is very positive as well. Great help provided by the studio's warm and friendly staffs. Customers love the photo quality.

I signed up with Dawns's wedding. The price wise is very attractive way cheaper than Sg bridal shops. I suggest you go to their website/ fb page to look at the photos they produce before deciding, see which one appeals to you more. And also because of the cheap price, don't expect too much from their gowns. It's still presentable some are even very nice! But I think the standard is not that high up as compared to those from La Belle. I chose Dawn's wedding because of the photos they produced. I like it very much!

If you plan to rent a centrally located hall in KL city center with a very reasonable price tag, Golden Chersonese Media Hall is the one for you. They provide almost everything that comes with the hall; 35 tables and chairs (it can accommodate 350 people at one time) with covers as well. There's kitchen for your caterer, changing room, VIP room, buffet table, gifts table, PA system etc. And they'll even provide signage in the parking area. As this venue is inside a mall, there is plenty of parking spaces available at a flat rate of rm5 per entry.

Hehe.. This hall is actually located at the 10th floor of Maju Tower at Maju Junction. Not many realized that there's actually a hall there. I've actually came across people talking about this hall here and there but my first assumption that the price might be expensive just by looking at the location itself. I finally dared myself to call the PIC and guess what... It's only rm5830 (including gst)!!! I mean, that's really cheap considering the location and all. Plus they provide almost everything; 35 tables and chairs (it can accommodate 350 people at one time) and with covers as well. There's kitchen for your caterer, changing room, VIP boarding room, they'll provide buffet table, doorgift table, gift table, PA system etc. And they'll even provide signage in the parking area (it's a mall, they have tonnes of parking) for the wedding as well as signage in the mall itself. They'll also provide a flat rate parking of rm5 per entrance so it doesn't matter how long you parked there, it's a fixed rate.
Hehe to be honest I'm very satisfied with the choice I've made and I'm quite lucky to actually came across with this hall

This hall memang cantik and a lot of bloggers mmg recommend this one. What I've seen is a wide range of prices from blog to blog. Some say rm3000++, some mentioned around rm5000++. So I verified it with the PIC and jeng jeng jeng.. An extreme leap of price. Currently they are charging rm7000++ (nangis lagi huhuhu)
