I have been researching about BS'es in Malaysia and found numerous constructive advices from fellow BTBs. Collectively, you will be able to filter out the non-appealing ones and focus on the aspects you care about the most. Hereby I give you the research outcome and two cents worth of my review (References).

Victoria Wedding Gallery (Abbey Choo's work)

Kudos to its PG (Wedding Acronym) Abbey Choo who is a certified professional photographer WPPA. I'm no photography expert but to me the photos are incredible. It really depends on one's preference though. BTBs on forums couldn't stop praising her. I always like dreamy and "I'm in fantasy land" photographs, a good combination of photo taking and editing skills. The right pose, angle, lighting, selection of background and camera settings make significant difference here. She is like a piece of hot cake, fast selling, book her as quickly as you could. However some samples of actual photos of previous Victorian brides posted online are not as great, no doubt good.

All the gowns are available for PS, no segregation of super duper VVIP dresses and extra charges for them. The selection is not big and some gowns are quite dated. I personally like Penken's makeup skill (she turned my friend into an angel) but hair-styling not so. Early of this year i signed a package of wedding photo & video shooting with Victoria.
Below is my package from begining till end of marrige.
I) ROM - Photograph & Video at "Tian Hou" Tempel, Seputeh.
2) Wedding album - Photograph & Short video (indoor and outdoor)
3) Actual day morning & dinner at night - Photograph & Video
I just finish my wedding dinner at The Gardens Hotel - Midvalley on 14th December 2013. Just 1 word to praise their team "Excellent" and "Professional". Everything go smooth on that night. The team consist of 5 people.Head Photography - Abbey, Head of Videography- Mr. Yeong and their great assistant - Ms. Jess. The team communicated very well and keep on update us what to do. The team also liaise with my "tai kam jie" on MOrning session and liaise with my Singer & Emcee as well on dinner time.
Such a great arrangement. We as the host no need to worry at all and i feel like i am super star on the whole day.
The team start to take photo and video from morning on my actual day 7am - 1.30pm.
Then they go to The Gardens Hotel ballroom to edit the photo and video, where my dinner is at there.
The Cocktail start at 7pm and they the team start again till 11.30pm. They are very patient to wait us to take photo n video until i told them no more guest and they can go home.
Really worth to signed with Victoria. No regret in my life to pay for the whole package.
Will go there again for photoshoot in future as a pregnant mom.

Recommended by my cousin. Experience: Overall, it was just OK for me. The gowns are pretty dated (in my opinion). One of the owner didn't allow me to try on more than 3 gowns, unless I sign up a package with them - they were conversing in Chinese, expecting I couldn't understand the language. We didn't get much attention from this particular one owner, because we were looking to just rent a gown. Honestly, I've seen better bridal photography, I guess Abbey is overrated - just my opinion. I've read many positive reviews on this shop, probably I would be treated differently if I was looking to sign-up a deal with them? *photo taking is NOT allowed in bridal shop*

My Dream Wedding is a bridal house brand based in Hong Kong. They have branches in KL, Penang and Singapore. This bridal shop is gaining popularity in recent years due to the gorgeous dresses they have in their store, particularly the ones with Swarovski crystal. The atmosphere of the shop gives out a high-endish vibe, with the packages offered one would immediately think that it is a great catch. Overall customers are fairly satisfied with the photography, makeup, styling and gowns. However here are a few things to take note. Having a huge number of customers who have signed up, the gorgeous gown you want may not be available as it might be booked already by another bride. Remember the things you have in your package, sometimes they forget to include them.

Overall, the service from My Dream Wedding, from the sales staff, makeup artist, photographer (Alan), assistant (Tiger), manager, tailor auntie, is satisfactory. Any special requirements have to be communicated in advance before signing the contract to be included in the package. Cost not included in the package are ampoule: RM35x5=RM175, eye lashes: RM38, sponge: RM12x2=RM24, body foundation: RM100.

I think they have accepted too many clients that they should because their dresses seems to always be very limited due to the reason 'someone else have booked it'. Just a look at their shops and you will feel like this bridal company confirm is well-to-do and with the price that they offer, you will feel like it's a good catch. They won my vote (in the beginning) because they took us to their shop and showed us all the fancy dresses and their 'quite-glamour' looking shop. Their swarovski gowns are nice. We actually have to fetch their crews around for the photoshoot. It wasn't difficult for us to choose only 40 photos because most of them were not of our preference. 

It is the most common thing that people shared with us and that would be on the extra expenses that you will find yourself having to pay, that ranges from a higher category of dress that you want or the more photos that you would want to have. Be very careful with all the extra charges because before you know it, it could mount up to the same cost with the package original price. However, we were told by Bennie on some of the things that is not given and will be charged if you choose to have it.

• Photo-shooting on Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday (RM250) - waived for us yay!

We went down on Saturday morning and met with the photographer on Sunday morning. It was at that time only he told us that RMAF Museum is closed for good and that they are in the process of relocating to Malacca. We were shocked to the core. IT SUCKS BIG TIME. Apparently they found out about this a month ago, yet we did not receive any phone calls to this news. That same night, Bennie texted me with a long explanation of what happened and apologized. They gave us a free upgrade of album size, arranged for us to have the Penang photo-shoot that same week and have their Chief Photographer, Marcus to do it for us. That and we got ourselves an assistant, Boy to help us with everything else.

First of all i wan to thank you for Candice. She really did well on my make up and hair do. She is humble and friendly as well. I really like her make up and hair do. She make me feel really beautiful. Second i wan to thank you for our photographer on duty. His name is Chris. He is funny and professional at the same time. By not wasting time, he teach us how to post correctly and snap our picture perfectly. The result is very natural and we both are very satisfy. And about the assistant-Yang. He is very helpful throughout the process. He did his very best to help us and photographer.

Thanks to Sammi for helping us to choose our dress & suit in KL. Thanks to Grace for such professional hair & makeup that is elegant yet still natural for each different look, very talented! Thanks to Forest and Tiger (Hor) who are so dedicated in helping us find the best spots and really helped us to be comfortable & natural eventhough we are so kaku!

Five stars rating to pretty makeup artist and professional photographer as I like my hairdo and photo shooting. Nice interior design for indoor shooting as well.
Two stars rating for service provided due to:
1) incomplete accessories provided such as missing ribbon to tie up wedding car and miss out envelopes when collect the 4R photos which need us to wait for 1.5 hours and given old style envelop as replacement.
2) 8R photo frame not assembled properly which cause it fallen when hang up for one day only. I used super glue to stick back.
3) limited photo templete design. We forced to select the wedding photos to fulfill the photo album template designer but not really meet our requirement.
4) not allow to view wedding gowns during fitting time as told that the store room is messy. Very limited wedding grown published in shop.
Hopefully My Dream Wedding will upgrade overall service.

The 878sq Mayang Sari Grand Ballroom is the perfect space for weddings and social events. There are 23 Function rooms which can be used as tea ceremony room. New Zealand is one of only three countries in the world to have a Gold Rated International Dark Sky Reserve – the Aoraki Mackenzie Dark Sky Reserve on the South Island. This dark sky reserve is the biggest in the world, it includes the Aoraki Mt Cook National Park and the villages of Lake Tekapo, Twizel and Mt Cook. It is almost totally free from light pollution and one is of the best stargazing sites on earth to view planets, stars and solar systems. If you are lucky, and the conditions are right, you will be able to see the impressive natural wonder, an electric phenomenon, Aurora australis (also known as the southern lights) which takes the shape of a curtain of light, or a diffuse glow; which is most often green, sometimes red and other colors.

On clear dark nights, when the moon is thin or below the horizon, a band of what looks like white dust, the Milky Way, can be seen. The Milky Way is brighter in the Southern Hemisphere than in the North. Check out the amazing photos taken at Lake Tekapo (3 hours from Christchurch). I have not seen so many stars before in my life.

Lake Tekapo is 3 hours from Christchurch, far from all civilisation. Soon after, the sun set and the dazzling night sky too over Lake Tekapo. Untainted by any light pollution, it was a magnificent sight. The isolation and flat plains provided a beautiful clear sky that offers unparalleled views of the stars. Incorporate this with the famous historical Church of the Good Shepherd in the background, they present the perfect and most iconic backdrop for New Zealand.  Lake Tekapo is part of a UNESCO Dark Sky Reserve, this is probably the best spot for stargazing in the Southern hemisphere.

A spacious urban architectural nestled amidst the hilltop surroundings of Seputeh, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Floor to ceiling glass panelling and versatile floor plans ensure comfortable seating and a breath of fresh air for your big day. You can take the entire venue or part of it; the parlour or grand court. Your wedding guests can admire the property's sun kissed lawns in the afternoon and moonlit evenings from the comfort of a fully air-conditioned space through the glass windows. It is very unique space as there is a small forest indoor.

This beautiful venue has limited parking space but arrangements can be made to manage parking properly. There are valet and shuttle services provided. There is still room for improvements on the management side; bathroom upkeep, temperature, traffic control.

As you arrive at Glasshouse, you walk up the stairs to the grand entrance which leads to the event space that is divided into three areas: the Lawn, Parlour and Grand Court. The focal point is the Lawn with its garden and its double volume height gives you a sense of spaciousness. It also has an elevated stage and lighted walkway. Versatility is the name of the game with this event space. Since their November opening, Glasshouse has bookings almost every day. I think people like it here as compared to a hotel. You go to a hotel, you can’t change anything.

It's also going to be just nice for my small 120-person wedding. Unfortunately, they got back to me and I saw the price.......it's RM8000 for half a day. And if you include tables and chairs, it'll be around RM12k. It seems there are many people complaining and spewing hate on the parking space. Though I am not one in position to judge, my friends who did their wedding there had got it sorted out and given us ample notice ahead of time. Guest were informed on how to park via their valet service, and they even reserved nearby carparks with shuttle services to the Glasshouse. I guess I keep the right company to enjoy such well planned events rather than have friends who just fret over things they take for granted. There is one thing though, the toilets, in my opinion, could be much cleaner and pleasant smelling to go with the other gorgeous part of the venue. Oct 2016 Nice and cosy place to hold a wedding. Fully air conditioned with no mosquitoes at all. One thing I find lacking is parking space. Is either you have to park very far and walk (not such a good idea consider I was wearing heels) or come early before the crowd sets in. Overall it was a good experience. Double thumbs up! Nice nice except v v WARM. My relatives have to come to the Centre near VIP table to take a breath. Need to improve on this. Parking sucks, very difficult to find parking there, the security guard not really helpful either

Malaysian clothier Ian Chang of Bespoked is the first Asian to have received a certificate of recognition for his tailoring skills by the Savile Row Academy. During an internship stint at Maurice Sedwell, a prestigious and regal bespoke boutique at the world-famous Savile Row in London, an idea was birthed to introduce those same traditions and secrets of bespoke tailoring to the Malaysian public. Savile Row is a street in Mayfair, central London, known principally for its traditional bespoke tailoring for men.

Bespoke suits are cut from a unique pattern drafted from scratch from custom measurements of the customer, and is entirely hand-stitched. Very few tailors in the world maintain this standard anymore as it takes months just to produce one suit, and the cost is high. Bespoked is able to offer a combination of old-school quality tailoring and contemporary fashion and style to ensure you look and feel like the gentleman you want to be. Following the measurement-taking a unique paper pattern will be created from scratch. Using this pattern the cloth is then cut and trimmed and the parts of the garment passed on to a single technician to sew and piece together. At least another one fitting is necessary to complete the final processes to produce a beautiful suit.

As mentioned in the Reviews section, canvassing on an MTM suit is rather costly, so the customer has gone for fused instead and asked for a traditional British cut and straight pockets, notched lapels, four working buttons on each cuff, double vents and went for a nice charcoal grey tropical wool (good for the hot weather here). Final price after discount for RM2800 in 2015 at Bespoked by Ian Chang.

Here are the descriptions of a canvas and fused suit:

Full Canvas suit - Back in the day, all suits were made of canvas. It was usually a horsehair canvas, which is sewn between the lining and the cloth of the jacket. The canvas allows the suit fabric to drape properly and will mold to your body over time (for the perfect fit).  It aids in the longevity of the suit by distributing tension at stress points. Fused suit - This is an interlining that is heat pressed (glued) to the wool of the suit. It is less durable over time and loses flexibility. [source]

I've gone back to the tailor (Bespoked Ian Chang) asking for canvassing options and I was told that for the fabric within my budget I was going for (despite it being pure wool) is not worth canvassing as it's an expensive service for a mediocre fabric and that it was better to choose the best fabrics (such as Dormeuil) for a bespoke service.
Not sure how true this is but I was told that with canvassing over time some stitching my come out due to wear and tear and it would cost a lot to reopen and fix it and it's not worth spending a fortune on mediocre fabrics.
As it's my first MTM suit and tailor experience I have decided to opt out of online first as I'd like a taste with working with a tailor face to face. I understand this costs more so I might most probably go online MTM once I'm familiar with my measurements.
As canvassing on an MTM suit is out of my budget I have reluctantly gone for fused. I have asked for a traditional British cut and straight pockets, notched lapels, four working buttons on each cuff, double vents and went for a nice charcoal grey tropical wool (good for the hot weather here). I'm hoping despite the fusings it would look the best it possibly can on me. Final price after discount for RM2800.

As someone who grew up in Seremban, I have been to many weddings of friends, relatives in this town not far away from KL. Min Kok restaurant is famous for its breakfast dim sum; more often than not there's a big crowd lining up for a table in the morning especially during holidays or weekends. My experience with this restaurant in term of wedding food was very good. It has a pretty high standard taste wise, better than a lot of Chinese Restaurants in the Klang Valley. I am not talking about food presentation here.

Other than that, the decor is very very minimalist, and 90's. You definitely won't enjoy the noise from another wedding, the "yum seng" or karaoke singing, which is just a partition away. Parking is always full when there is a wedding happening.

Established in 2000, GTC Bridal (Glamour, Trendy and Creative) launched a Big Outlet Expansion Project, with investment of over RM 1 million. This was an aggressive step for GTC to become the KL largest Bridal Gallery in 2014. It believed that it is the best way to provide better service to their clients.

With most of the well-known bridal shops being moved to SS2, here's one located at Jalan Ipoh KL for those who live in KL area. GTC Bridal does the photo Shooting for My Wedding Magazine since 2003 and for Miss Astro. Their gowns are mainly from D&L Fashion Design (which was Dato Lee Chong Wei's wedding planner and gowns provider). They have more than 500 designed and ready-to-wear wedding gowns.

Their customers are in general pretty satisfied with their service and gowns, the price is affordable too. This bridal gallery attracts a good distribution of clients from different ethnic background. GTC offers the trendy “floating on the air” pre-wedding photography, an interesting alternative that presents a new experience in wedding photo taking.

Our package was RM3388, two white wedding dress, two evening gowns, one traditional costume. And paired costumes for the groom! I have seen and chosen my photos, but have not gotten the ablum. my sister weren't allowed into the indoor studio for photoshoot, the dress looks much better than I ainticipated in the photoshoot, the traditional costume, 贵妃装 was really really pretty too! I love it so so much haha.

The big plus point about the shop is the owner Alanis who has been described as exceptionally nice and friendly. You can take photos of the gowns you try on. Go as many times you want until you find the one you love. The more you rent the cheaper the price. So make sure you discuss with Alanis on your required number of gowns for rental to get the best price. Their price range for gown rental is from RM380 - 1k++.

At Simply Gorgeous, the gown design is kept simple, minimalist yet trendy. Mostly lacy and modern looking. They also have really sweet designs and pastel colour evening gowns. Most of the mermaid dresses are in small sizes but they have stocked up a number of other plusize gowns as well. They will try to customize the color and design to your taste as much as possible. There are also pre-owned designer dresses for sale at much lower price.

You can make appointment with them and try as many time as you like until you found the right gown. Even you decided not to rent their gown it is okay. Only set back is they do not have gown rental & photography package together so you have to hire photographer & make up artist separately. However, Simply Gorgeous has partner with other Photographer and Makeup artist so they can recommend to you. On gown rental, the more you rent the cheaper the price. So make sure you discuss with Alanis on your required number of gown rental for best price ya. Their price range for gown rental is from RM 380 - 1k++. I have rent two gowns from them for my Santorini prewedding shoot and I have also order customade gown from them for my actual day. Hong Kong Actress Myolie Wu and businessman Philip Lee got married in Dec 2015. According to Apple Daily, Philip worked in finance in London before returning to Hong Kong, where he owns a headhunting company and has invested in a Lan Kwai Fong club.

Myolie shared their love story: Philip saw her bikini picture on social media and asked a mutual friend to introduce them. she said no, but a few months later, the friend secretly asked Philip to join them for a meal. She said: "I looked up, he came in... this can be considered love at first sight."

The Dewan D'Lavender hall in Pusat Komuniti Bukit Damansara is new, big, strategically located and very convenient for weddings as there's a masjid (Masjid Saidina Umar Al-khattab) just right in front. The venue provides a changing room for the bride to get ready before the event starts. Many brides recommended this venue because of its reasonable rates and nice ambiance with ample parking space. The catering is currently run by Pak Engku (Kuzie Catering).

It's new, it's big, lots of parking and quite convenient as there's a masjid in front of it. They also have changing room for the pengantin to get ready. Okay, a lot of blogs recommended this place, with rate of rm1600 for hall rental and you can rent carpets to cover the parquet as well, with additional cost of course. But all in all maybe we can budget for rm2000. It's very reasonable for me and I called the PIC. Guess what, they have sub-con the hall to Kuzie Catering (siapa yg x tahu, the catering is by Pak Engku, the one who usually handled retis2 punya wedding. Kalau x silap he did for siti nurhaliza punya wedding as well). Well, tough luck, they no longer rent out the hall on its own. Kalau nak, you have to take his package, rm36 per head (I died a little inside huhuhu). Previously he handled Dewan Cattleya PKPS in S.Alam but I'm not sure what happened to that.

If you are looking for a Chinese Restaurant to hold your wedding banquet, you can consider Chuai Banquet Hall (Off Jalan Imbi) for a bigger function or the Chuai Heng bungalow located at the strategic and also busy Jalan Bukit Bintang. Serving fine Hong Kong styled Chinese cuisine, your guests will get to enjoy a delicious banquet meal on your big day. The new Banquet Hall, designed by CGSB Interiors has a modern cosiness to it with stylish lighting and decor. It can accommodate up to 80 tables. The wedding menu is not exactly cheap for chinese restaurant. There are many dishes to choose from though. However some customers complained the staff took away their plate too fast before they are done.
