The hotel's pillarless Grand Ballroom is also one-of-a-kind; stone-paneled walls, it has more crystals than any other ballroom in the world, thanks to Austrian crystal chandeliers and Viennese crystal accents. There is a 270° LED digital screen, which can be used as a custom backdrop or for a live stream of the happenings in the ballroom.
For weddings, St. Regis has special lounge and dressing room in The Salon, for wardrobe changes and prep before entering the ballroom. There is a super-sized lift that can transport cars and other big items into the ballroom. The smaller ballroom, The Astor Room offers a space for more intimate weddings of up to 360 guests.
The wedding menu options include Chinese, Western, and Malay cuisines, fully customizable to the special couple’s desires. Trained chef de patisserie is on hand to create bespoke wedding cakes.

I was fortunate enough to watch an amazing sunset that evening from the window in our room. Our western 4 course dinner was adequate and well plated but I found my Angus steak was a little too soft for a steak. Parking is ample and location is close to the central station making it very convenient for travellers. The front office staff were polite and helpful. The room came with butler service. | |
