Marco Polo Restaurant in KL, founded in 1980 by Dato' Lim Foo Yong is a nostalgic place for many. I was there more than 10 years ago and it looked pretty dated back then. It has been renovated recently to keep up with the more modern and chic restaurants in the Klang Valley. This restaurant, famous for its dim sum serves tasty Chinese cuisine in big portions for weddings. Living up to the motto of old Chinese restaurants: speed is everything, the staff there are pretty efficient. Some complaint they served and cleared too fast.

The food and service were okay but im very disappointed and aginated regarding the attitude of on-duty manager Suki. It came to me as a surprise as the managerial level staff had such bad attitude compared to front liners. She shouted at me rudely when i was unaware shes about to serve. What I would say is...........superb n tasty Chinese cuisine. Service was 5star n the course meal came in big portion and piping hot. The big plus point was the good service.......prompt and save up the waiting time for the guests who came from all over the country.The decor was classical n brings back memories from the past. Marco Polo has definitely lives up to its name and up to our expectation. |
